While the selection of clubs and pubs in Warsaw is still not the greatest the offer today is way better than it was ten years ago. On the upside, the existing clubs and pubs are some of the best that can be seen in Europe, but unfortunately the prices reflect that.

A few words of caution: When enjoying Warsaw's nightlife try avoiding going out alone especially if you are a woman. Going to bars and clubs that are frequented by students or professionals will offer you the most entertainment and safety. Oh yes, please do not try to outdrink Polish people.

A very cool and fairly sizeable club playing a good selection of rock and pop music. The club is located right next to the student dorms so there is always a good crowd and a good atmosphere. This one gets definite thumbs up from me.

Stodola
Batorego 10
825-86-25

This club has two levels: the upper level offers a place to sit and talk or listen to music. The lower level is where you can dance. The music played ranges from pop to rock, jazz, acid jazz and bits of techno. Some nights are devoted strictly to dance music.

Underground Music Cafe
Marszalkowska, 126/134
826-76-48

During the day Underground is a regular cafe, but in the night it gets packed. The music played ranges from techno to soul, dance and popular music. At times (mainly when the club is crowded) entry may be denied to those wearing sports shoes or those without a club card.

Trend
Krakowska 171 Av.
846-09-94

The music played here is mainly techno. There are three bars and lots of space for dancing.
