Our last landmark, in the Old-Town area, is the so called Barbakan. The structure was built in 1548. The Barbican completed the fortifications of the Old Town and served to protect Old-Town's north side. If you are in the Old-Town, simply follow the Swietojanska street to Old-Town square (Rynek Starego Miasta). The continue straight to the Nowomiejska street. At the end of Nowomiejska you will see the Barbican. If you venture out beyond the Barbican, you will leave the Old-Town and you will enter the New-Town (Nowe Miasto).

Onto the next landmark
